A typical day at Wix & Wrabness Pre-School

The daily routine at a glance

Pre-School runs from 8.00am through to 3.30pm. The activites are based on the learning objectives of the foundation stage curriculum. The activities include home corner, books, puzzles, painting, play dough, construction toys, trains, cars, dressing up, water/sand, drawing etc.

During this time each child will be invited to participate in an adult led activity such as cooking, planting, model making etc. In addition staff respond to the mood of the group and set up spontaneous activities as appropriate. We advise that children are dressed in clothes which are suitable for 'messy' play.

Outdoor play may be tied in with a particular game or activity, or it may be simply a chance for free play and some fresh air in the playground. We also make use of our undercover area which is used, under supervision, as a continuous outdoor learning environment.

Each session offers a snack time where children are provided with refreshments. We request that children do not bring sweets/chocolate into Pre-School.
